Voltaren Emulgel contains a combination of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), diclofenac. This medication temporarily improves blood circulation to the soft tissue of the body, which helps to relieve the discomfort associated with arthritis. The improvement in blood flow to the soft tissue is especially important for the knees, to reduce the chance of osteoarthritis and for the feet to heal faster. The use of Voltaren Emulgel does not work for the improvement in pain caused by the inflammation which may occur by the use of this medication for a short duration. The results are actually better function and easier on your body.
DirectionsApply the product to the affected area 15 to 30 minutes before activity. Wash the affected area with purified water and soap. Wash with plenty of soap and water after applying. Do not wash the area with water, especially when you start to feel better. Use the product temporarily as pain relief. If you feel that the condition is becoming worse, consult your doctor. If you feel that the condition is becoming less effective or not being effective at treating your symptoms, consult your doctor. Do not stop using the product after the results of the test have been obtained. If the condition is becoming more effective than expected, see your doctor. Stop using the product if the condition gets worse. It is always best to continue using the product for as long as your doctor has told you to. Be sure to apply the product no more than once every 4 to 6 hours if you are being treated for ankylosing spondylitis. This medication works for 2 to 4 hours. However, it can take up to 4 to 6 hours for the full effect to develop. Take the medication with food to avoid stomach upset. If you are using the product for 3 months, talk to your doctor about trying a different medication.
Side EffectsThe side effects which give you a reaction while applying Voltaren Emulgel are normal. But the most common ones which affect the most are:
